Consultation fee
The fee for an initial in-person consultation of up to 60 minutes is 5,500 yen per 30 minutes (tax included.)
Telephone, Skype, and Zoom consultations are also available. PayPal and credit cards are also accepted (except for debt cases).
Legal costs per case
You will be charged an retainer fee and actual expenses upfront, and success fee in the end.
The retainer fee is for hiring an attorney and is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome.
Expenses are miscellaneous costs such as transportation, postage, interpretation, and translation.
The success fee is added when your case is successful. Please see below for our fee structure.
Please note that the fees below are just examples. The actual fees may vary by case and depend on the services we provide. Your attorney will explain the fee details for your case during the consultation.
If you do not have a status of residence or sufficient income, there is no need to worry. You will be entitled to financial assistance (loan, etc.) by the Japan Federation of Bar Associations, etc. Please see the end of this page for details.
