The Tokyo Public Law Office (TPLO) is a law firm dedicated to helping clients with support from the Tokyo Bar Association. The Foreign Nationals and International Services Section (FISS) at TPLO functions as a specialized department to overcome barriers to access to justice for people with foreign roots.
FISS provides legal services for immigrants and foreign nationals living in Japan as well as cross-border matters. We also assist Japanese clients in resolving their disputes involving foreign nationals and supporting foreign nationals to visit, relocate, or work in Japan. Our attorneys and staff members are fluent in English etc. Interpretation services are available in other languages.
In addition to immigrants, foreign nationals, and their supporters, we advise Japanese citizens on deals and disputes involving international and cross-border elements.
Work
We handle a great variety of cases to solve legal issues in daily lives and provide legal advice on about 1,000 cases over a year.

Take the east (central) exit and go up to the ground level.

You will find “Matsumotokiyoshi” in front of you and cross the pedestrian crossing, turn left, and go straight ahead on the side street of the police box on your left.

After passing SMBC, continue going straight for about 300m and you will find our Building with a gas station （ENEOS）on 1F.

Go past the ENEOS and turn right before the crossing.

Enter the building and take the lift to the 4th floor. When you get off the lift, you will see our office entrance on your right. Please open the door and enter.
